Mr. Klimpel has 33 active years of experience in the hospitality and food service industry. Mr. Klimpel began his career at an entry level and advanced to Vice President / General Manager of the Viking Lodge and Restaurant. His experience includes various food, beverage, and hotel management positions within the industry. He holds an Associate Degree of Applied Arts in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Forest Park Community College in St. Louis, Missouri.
Mr. Klimpel’s expertise and focus with HMA is with contracting, design and vendor negotiations. He has overseen the construction of hotels and the renovations of more than 2,000 rooms in his career. Mr. Klimpel uses his vast food and beverage experience to negotiate HMA’s contractual agreement with restaurant franchisors. Four of HMA’s full service properties (Holiday Inn Hotels) have co-branded their food and beverage facilities to include: The Pasta House Restaurant, Houlihan’s Restaurant and Malone’s Grill and Pub.
Mr. Klimpel’s duties require his involvement in all new property developments, capital planning, renovations, and acquisitions. His vast management experience and operational knowledge qualifies him for negotiations with franchisee agreements, management contracts, and vendors.
